This week I ask that you write a "perfect paragraph" about an example of truth and lies in your own life, or choose an example from the history of your country. Unit 1 looked at the life of Mickey Mantle and how he had many regrets about how he communicated with people in his life that were important to him. I would like you to write a letter to someone who has been very important to you in your life. Mickey Mantle wrote a letter to his father, but the person you choose can still be alive today. If you hadn't had that person in your life, what would have happened to you? Would your life have been different? How?

Post # 1 - Self Introduction

Hello! Welcome to our awesome and amazing class blog. This will be an open forum to share ideas and work on our written fluency. Please follow the instructions on my blog for each post, comment on your classmates blogs, and add any other additional information that you choose. Your first post is going to be an easy introductory post all about yourself, why you are here in Calgary in the English Language Program, what your goals and dreams are, and finally a link to the song that you chose for your Narrative assignment. Please feel free to add some information about why you chose the song and what it means to or what your personal connection is with the song. This a link to a song that I chose. It is a song called "Same Love" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. I have a personal connection with this song AND video because I think it is so important that society be aware of the issue of non-acceptance of same-sex couples and same-sex marriage.
